Cancellation Policy
We understand that unexpected events can occur, and plans may change. Because this retreat involves advanced bookings, coordination with international partners, and non-refundable reservations, the following cancellation and refund policy applies to all participants. All deposits and other payments are non-refundable. If you find that you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to another eligible participant (female 18+) with written approval. It is strongly recommended to purchase trip insurance.
Retreat Cancellations by Organizer
In the unlikely event that the retreat must be canceled by the organizer due to unforseen circumstances (e.g., minimum group size not met, travel restrictions, natural disasters), participants will receive:
A full refund of all payments made, excluding any personal travel arrangements (flights, insurance, etc.), or
The option to transfer payments to a future retreat
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all participants purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and personal belongings. This ensures peace of mind in the event of illness, injury or travel disruptions.
Physical Preperation
You will be given a training schedule to prepare you for your walk. It is in your best interest to follow the program to decrease injuries. You don’t want to ruin your pilgrimage. With training, you will be able to walk up to 14 miles!
Starting Point
Book your flight into Madrid (Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport) and plan to arrive no later than September 2nd. The next morning, we will meet in Madrid and travel as a group via train to Astorga. If you decided to travel on your own, you must arrive in Astorga on September 3rd as the next day is the start of your pilgrimage.
Walk Your Way
I encourage you to listen to your body and your needs for the day. In the beginning, we will walk together as a group. As you become comfortable on The Way, feel free to rest, stop to take pictures, converse with other pilgrims, walk ahead, walk slowly or walk in silence. You do not have to worry about getting lost as the Camino shells and arrows will guide you as well as locals and other pilgrims. You also will be given an itinerary so you’ll always know where you should be at the end of the day.
Communication
While on the trail your guide will be close by and accessible via WhatsApp should you need anything.
